I am a highly qualified deputy headteacher who has extensive experience of working in both mainstream and specialist SEND early years settings- SLD, PMLD, ASD and PDA. I have consistently been graded an “outstanding” practitioner both in performance management cycles as well as by external agencies such as Ofsted and The National Autistic Society. I have a clear understanding of barriers to learning and have worked successfully across numerous settings demonstrating this in my practice. I currently work at Martenscroft Nursery School and Children’s Centre. Our most recent Ofsted was in October 17 where we maintained “outstanding” in all once again areas.
I am an energetic yet reflective leader who aims for excellence in all that I do. I have good interpersonal skills and I am self-confident. I aim to be inspiring and have excellent relationships with staff, parents and most importantly children! I am also able to maintain a high level of confidentiality as appropriate.
My role requires me to be resilient and manage conflict in a positive, empowering manner. I have been responsible for coaching and mentoring teachers and have demonstrated my ability to achieve the best from people. I am a team player and will always lead by example.
My roles as SLE link to curriculum development, early years and SEND. It would be my responsibility to underpin all I do by improving outcomes for children. I am excited by the role of SLE and feel I would be a great addition to any developing team.
