Does your SEND offer make it clear what your school does to support children with SEMH? Is your school passionate about championing successful outcomes for children with SEMH? Are your staff wanting to support children in maintaining their mainstream place through purposeful inclusion?

Bowker Vale is the only school in Manchester which has its own specialist resourced provision for children with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans for SEMH. Our school has a team of specialist staff who are skilled in managing the complex needs of this group of vulnerable pupils and are highly adept in managing challenging behaviour and successfully differentiating and personalising the curriculum. Having the provision at Bowker Vale has developed capacity and enriched CPD opportunities in all areas of SEND. Outcomes for children with SEMH are positive with children receiving targeted support at the correct time. Staff are coached and supported and children and families feel included, not isolated from the school community.

You will find out about our provision, observe pupils in their setting, talk to staff and start to develop your own SEMH toolkit.
