I am an experienced Year 1 teacher and Science lead at Bowker Vale Primary School.   I am an active member of the Science Engineering Education Innovation Hub (SEERIH) at Manchester University, where I have been appointed Science Teacher Champion and more recently Engineering Teacher Champion.  This involves working alongside SEERIH to support colleagues across Manchester in promoting child led enquiry and engineering in primary schools.

In addition to leading Science at Bowker Vale, I have also led a number of Teach Manchester workshops supporting teachers implementing a challenge curriculum in Year 1.  I am a passionate and reflective practitioner and I have a firm belief that a collaborative approach is essential to improving and raising standards.  Through my work with Teach Manchester I have seen the positive impact that successful system leadership can have on both colleagues and pupils.

I am available for School to School Support Commissions.  You can also find out more and book for the KS1 Challenge Curriculum Workshops here.
