Thursday 22nd June 2017    9:30am—1pm

This conference will be led by the pupils of Haveley Hey, St Mary’s and The Willows Primary Schools which are UNICEF Rights Respecting Award Level 2 Schools.  It will explore children’s rights both locally and globally, including the consequences for children when their rights are denied

During the conference we will show the impact and transformational power of the Rights Respecting Children’s Rights Charter (CRC) from the perspective of both children and staff.  We will provide practical ways for you to develop effective pupil voice in your school by empowering your pupils.

The conference agenda will include presentations and films from pupils, a carousel of activities run by pupils for all visiting staff and pupils.  Children and adults will separate for part of the agenda.  The conference will conclude with pupils and adults hearing from our guest speakers.

Confirmed Guests: Martin Russell, UNICEF and Baroness Estelle Morris.
