The Singapore approach is an exciting and effective way to teach maths. Through well-established teaching methods and the use of carefully researched resources, children are able to develop a love and deep understanding that allows them to master maths.

This workshop is aimed at teachers and maths leads in KS1 and KS2 who are looking towards gaining further knowledge of the Singapore Maths approach or those that are starting implementation of the approach in their schools.

This workshop includes:
– a demonstration of a Singapore maths lesson (choice of either KS1 or KS2)
– discussion with teachers and maths lead
– a workshop on the use of text books and how they support teaching to mastery  (content will be drawn from both KS1 and KS2)
– the opportunity to look at the text books we use and examples of children’s work and their journals
Please indicate whether your preference is to view a KS1 or KS2 lesson during the demonstration element.  The remainder of the session will draw on content from both KS1 and KS2.
Please note that this workshop has previously been titled Singapore Maths for KS1 / KS2.
