Offering an excellent programme of Initial Teacher Training is fundamental to supporting Teach Manchester’s vision that every child should be taught by an outstanding teacher. Led by St Peter’s RC High School, our programme seeks to recruit individuals who are dedicated to improving outcomes across Manchester schools. We work in partnership with schools across all phases to provide an unrivalled level of support for trainee teachers, so as to develop the next generation of confident and competent practitioners.

About Us

Our programme is a one-year postgraduate route to qualified teacher status, led by a school alliance. Teach Manchester’s  programme is designed to develop the skills our schools are looking for in an Early Careers Teacher (ECT). By choosing a school-led route, you’ll join your main placement school from September. This is earlier than on University-led programmes.  You will receive intensive support from our experienced team of teachers and mentors from the beginning of your placement.  You will have plenty of opportunities to develop your classroom skills through observation, reflection, and attendance at both Teach Manchester training sessions and university-led sessions.
