The Singapore approach is an exciting and effective way to teach maths. Through well-established teaching methods and the use of carefully researched text books, children are able to develop a love and deep understanding that allows them to master maths.
This workshop is aimed at teachers and maths leads in KS1 and KS2 who would like to find out more about the Singapore Maths approach. No prior knowledge of Asian approaches is assumed in this workshop.
The workshop includes:
– a demonstration of a Singapore maths lesson
– discussion with teachers and maths lead
– a workshop on the fundamental principles which underpin this approach
– the opportunity to look at our text books and examples of children’s work and their journals
