This workshop run by St Mary’s Primary School is aimed at EYFS teachers and practitioners who would like to find out more about the Singapore Maths approach

The Singapore approach is an exciting and effective way to teach maths. Through well-established teaching methods and the use of carefully researched text books, children are able to develop a love and deep understanding that allows them to master maths.

This workshop will focus on ‘counting’ and is suitable both as an introduction to the principles of Singapore Maths and those who would like to explore the counting element of the Singapore Maths approach in more depth.

This workshop includes:

– a demonstration of a Singapore maths lesson with a focus on counting
– discussion with teachers and Early Years lead
– presentation of the principles, progression and planning of early years maths
– opportunity to look at evidence of GLD (early years), our resources and examples of children’s work
