I am Assistant Headteacher and Head of Mathematics at Loreto High School, Chorlton.

After retiring from professional football, my route into teaching saw me complete the Teach First Leadership Development Programme in 2012 with a Mathematics specialism. I taught for two years at Dixons Allerton Academy in Bradford, before moving to Loreto High School in 2014.

I completed a Masters degree in Education and Leadership in 2015 where I focused specifically on Mathematical pedagogy as well as general school improvement.

I have held the position of Head of Mathematics since 2017 and was appointed Assistant Headteacher in September 2018.

I am extremely passionate about Mathematics and the need to ensure that students from a young age develop a strong conceptual understanding of the key principles needed to be successful in the subject.

I am a member of the Mathematics Core Group of Teach Manchester.
