Rachel is a Local Leader of Education and has been Head teacher of Bowker Vale Primary School since 2011. Along with her team of excellent staff, the school was rated very ‘Good’ at it’s most recent OfSTED inspection in July 2017 where it was noted that;

‘Inspirational Leadership means the school has made significant improvements since the last inspection’.

A unique aspect of Bowker Vale is their Specialist Resource Provision for a small class of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans for their Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Bowker Vale has been a Strategic Partner with Teach Manchester since 2016 and Rachel and her team have contributed significantly to the Primary CPD offer. Many trainees have passed through our doors, most recently on the School Direct programme. 4 of our current teachers completed their teacher training here at Bowker Vale.
